After I register an account I can only make a profile but not create and upload my coat of arms?

This is correct. You can apply for the armiger status by clicking on the My Account link in the menu. After that an admin will approve your application, you can then upload you arms in your own gallery. Finishing your profile first will speeden up the proces. People that do no take the effort to create a profile for us to review run the risk of being turned down.
